VIBE Matchmaking
Privacy Policy
Effective October 29, 2026
Who we are
VIBE is a curated matchmaking club that introduces members to a small number of considered matches each day. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the VIBE app and website.
Information we collect
Account information. When you join, you provide an email address and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
Profile information. The profile you create is the heart of VIBE: your display name, age, gender, city, occupation, photos, interests, written answers to prompts, and your preferences (who you're looking for, an age range, and a relationship goal).
Messages. If you message another member, we store your messages so you and that member can see your conversation.
Location information. If you turn on Proximity Vibe, we collect your device's approximate GPS coordinates while the feature is on, so we can tell you when a member you've been introduced to is nearby. Location is only shared while the feature is enabled, and you can turn it off at any time.
Payment information. Membership payments are processed by our payment provider (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix). We never receive or store your full card details; we keep only a record of your purchase status so we can provide your membership.
Technical information. We use standard analytics that record how the app is used (for example, which screens are visited), without recording the content you type.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate the club: to build your daily introductions, let you respond to matches, enable conversations between members who are both interested, and show you the profile and preferences of your introductions.
We use your location only to alert you about nearby introductions while Proximity Vibe is on.
We use aggregate, non-identifying information to understand how VIBE is used and to improve it.
Who we share it with
Other members. The other member in an introduction sees the profile information you chose to publish (name, age, city, photos, interests, prompts). They do not see your email address, your contact details, or your exact location — proximity alerts only say that you are nearby.
Service providers. We use trusted services to run the app: hosting and account infrastructure provided by our app platform, and payment processing provided by Base44 Payments (powered by Wix). Each handles your data only to provide its service.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our members.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile, matches, and messages while your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, we delete your profile, matches, conversations, messages, and any stored location. Some records may be retained for a short period for backup or legal purposes.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile at any time from the Profile page. You can turn Proximity Vibe off at any time, which stops all location sharing. You can delete your account from the app, which removes the information described above. To request deletion of your account and associated data, visit the account deletion page. You can also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
Children
VIBE is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security and changes
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and change the effective date below. We'll notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
